On December 7, 2022, the Hampton Bays Beautification Association celebrated its 37th Anniversary with a Holiday Luncheon and Awards Ceremony at Oakland’s Restaurant in Hampton Bays. Many thanks to Chairpersons Grace Daly and Madeline O’Keefe.
Congratulations to Director’s Roe O’Connor and Fran Bauerfeind who received the HBBA 2022 “Angel of the Year” Award for their many years of service to HBBA.
The Hampton Bays Beautification Association is pleased to announce that Joe Zehentner and Steve Forte of Hampton Nursery and Landscaping in Hampton Bays have been awarded the Community Beautification Award for 2022.
HBBA Community Appreciation Award was presented to volunteers Geri Dzwlewicz and Maria Filorimo for their service to HBBA.
Special thanks to Chairman Jack O’Keefe, Merry Warner, Shinnecock Hardware and V. Allegretta Electric team for their holiday decorating efforts. Thanks to all the friends of HBBA and businesses for supporting our holiday fund.
And for all those dedicated HBBA volunteers who have assisted throughout the year, I thank you for your commitment, time, dedication and talents. It has been a joy working with you. Wishing everyone a joyful holiday season.
HBBA is on winter recess January through March. Have a wonderful winter and we will see you next spring in April 2023.

On December 7, 2022 please join HBBA Officers and Directors in a Holiday Celebration at Oakland’s Restaurant at 373 Dune Road in Hampton Bays (at the Inlet). A wonderful Luncheon will be served with Salad, Entree and Dessert. Cash Bar is available. 50/50 raffle. Reservations are required. Two awards for “Angel of the Year” will be presented along with a Beautification award to Hampton Nursery. Plus a special thank you to all the HBBA Volunteers.

Dear HBBA Friends
The Hampton Bays Beautification would like to thank everyone helping HBBA decorate our Hamlet for the holiday season. With their help, we make our community a festive place during this special time of the year. Thanks to Holiday Helpers Chairman Jack O’Keefe. Merry Warner of Mother Earth Landscaping, V. Allegretta Electric Company and Crew and Tom Maloney of Shinnecock Hardware and Daren Poles.
This is our eleventh year of decorating and we have expanded coverage with lighted wreaths, decorated trees, the pergola and lights all along Good Ground Road. We installed an extensive array of tree lighting at all the Medians, Train Station, Ponquogue Ave, Post Office, Rain Garden, Main Street, UA Theater, Welcome Sign, Flagpole area and at King Kullen.
Finally, I would like to thank all the wonderful people who answered our Holiday Fund Campaign. Thank you all for helping HBBA make Hampton Bays beautiful this Holiday Season.
Your contribution is greatly appreciated and the funds raised helped us continue our commitment to make Hampton Bays look wonderful… thanks to your support we were able to make that happen.

Hampton Bays Beautification Association (HBBA) held their 35th Annual Garden Party and Famous Auction at Oakland’s Restaurant in Hampton Bays on Saturday, September 18, 2021. A very special thanks to Fandango, and the Hampton Bays Public Library for selling tickets. Thanks to Oakland’s for great food, great service and a great view. Congratulations to the winners of our Hat/Fascinator Contest Lynne Ferrier and Dottie Macaluso.
