Jack Richichi

It is with great sadness to tell you of the passing of long time member Jack Richichi. .

Obituary

A. John (Jack) Richichi, age 86, of West Chester, PA passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Born August 17, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ, he was the son of the late Rocco Richichi and the late Marie Nevins Richichi.

Jack was a proud St. John’s University graduate and enjoyed his career as a financial analyst. While Jack lived in West Chester since 2021, he called New York home for the majority of his life and spent 25 winters in Florida. No matter where Jack was living, he remained a loyal NY Yankees fan. He enjoyed speaking in Op, clamming, bocce, wine making, playing card games (including Pinochle, Tenafly, and P.I.G.), baking, gardening, and fishing.  Jack faithfully served as a lector at Sunday Mass for most of his adult life.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Patricia of West Chester, three children Jane (Chris) Flanagan of Houston, TX, Beth (Dan) Winkowski of Thornton, PA, and Paul (Annie) Richichi of Austin TX, brother Jay Richichi of Long Island, NY and sister Dorothy Perry of Westfield, Indiana.  Jack was Grandpa to seven grandchildren: Patrick (Junella), Maggie, Emily (Jacob), Claire, Ben, Evelyn, and Riley, and great-grandchild Liam. Also surviving are many relatives and lifelong friends who have impacted Jack throughout his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 9:30 – 10:15 AM at SS. Peter & Paul Church 1325 E. Boot Rd. West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.

Interment will be in Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA 19342.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hampton Bays Beautification Association, an organization where Jack experienced many happy hours of volunteering in the community he loved.
