"Tide and Time: The Maritime Heritage of Hampton Bays"

This 45 minute documentary film shows how the waterways of Hampton Bays, have developed and sustained this hamlet for hundreds of years. By looking back in time, this film celebrates the events and people that created the character of Hampton Bays.

Topics in the film include: The evolution of fishing, heroic local sea captains and surfmen, the Ponquogue Lighthouse, the first summer residents, the 1938 Hurricane, and today's commercial fishermen.

This wonderful addition to our networking will expand the positive horizons of our Hamlet beyond our borders. Our plans for broadcasting this documentary early on called for this type of exposure.
