HBBA Holiday Awards Luncheon

2015-12-09 16.37.30VAL ANGEL

On December 9th, the Hampton Bays Beautification Association celebrated its 30th Anniversary with a Holiday Luncheon and Awards Ceremony at Oakland’s Restaurant in Hampton Bays.  Our thanks to Grace Daly for planning this memorial event.

Valerie Zuccarelli, HBBA’s Vice President, received the HBBA “Angel of the Year” Award for her service as an officer, director and chairperson of many HBBA events and programs. Valerie chairs the Garden Party Committee and Garden Appreciation Committee. She volunteers on every other committee including the Community Garden, Concert, Holiday Decoration and Holiday Luncheon. Valerie was also Chairperson of the Garden Tour for many years. Valerie is a consummate volunteer.

At the luncheon, a special HBBA Appreciation Award was presented to Sheryl Heather of Spring and Summer Pools for her assistance in creating HBBA’s E-Newsletter and her marketing skills. A Certificate of Appreciation was also awarded to Chris Bean, Superintendant of Parks and Recreation for his assistance to our organization throughout the year.

Annually HBBA presents an award to a local Business that has improved its property. We were delighted to award a Certificate of Beautification to Charles and Cheryl Pensa of Villa Paul Restaurant. Congratulations to all.

Last, but certainly not least, a special note of gratitude to the HBBA Officers; Madeline O’Keefe, Valerie Zuccarelli and Marianne Murphy and Directors; Charlie Shields, Mike Daly, Peg Campbell, Monica Freeman, Fran Bauerfeind, Jean Waters and Maud Kramer. Thank you to the dedicated HBBA volunteers who have assisted throughout the year. It is with your commitment, time, dedication and talents that has contributed to the beauty of our community. It has been a joy serving with all of you.

Best wishes to all for a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year. See You in April!
